Desk tasks target 500 lux with uniformity ratios suitable for prolonged screen work. Corridors and storage areas receive lower setpoints to reduce energy use while maintaining safe navigation.

Targets are aligned with NEN-EN 12464-1 guidance for office interiors. Adjustments are documented when client standards exceed code minima.

Fixture Families

We select pendant, recessed, and linear families with UGR limits below nineteen for desk zones. Maintenance schedules and lamp replacement access are reviewed with building operators.

Decorative fixtures in reception are specified separately from task lighting. Drivers and dimming protocols are noted for controls integrators.

Controls Integration

Zoning diagrams show which luminaires join daylight harvesting, occupancy sensing, and manual override groups. Time-clock strategies for cleaning crews are included.

We coordinate with electrical engineers on circuiting—not on programming software sales. Commissioning checklists list expected scene levels per zone.

Daylight Balance

Workstations within seven metres of glazing receive glare assessments. Blind or film recommendations protect against low-angle sun without eliminating views.

Interior colour palettes are chosen to support even luminance distribution. Dark feature walls near desks are avoided unless supplemental lighting is added.

Emergency and Exit

Emergency lighting coverage is reviewed on plans for compliance with evacuation routes. Exit signage integration respects corporate graphic standards where legally permissible.

Battery-backed fixtures in open ceilings are positioned for service access. Test schedules are handed to facilities in the operations manual.
